Big B donates Rs 2 crore to COVID-19 facility set up by Delhi gurudwara

New Delhi, May 10: As the nation continues to grapple in th covid 19, Bollywood superstate Amitabh Bachchan donated 2 ₹ crores to the Covid-care facility in Rakab Ganj Gurudwara in New Delhi to treat the covid-19 patients in the national capital.

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Manjinder Singh Sirsa gave the donation information.In another tweet, Sirsa informed that the 78-year-old actor has also arranged oxygen cylinders from abroad for the facility. According to Gurdwara Management, the center has about 25o oxygen-equipped beds.
 
 
Apart from it, Bachchan had also urged the global community to help India, during the "VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World", which aired on Sunday. "My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of COVID-19. As a global citizen, I appeal to all global citizens to rise, speak to your governments, your pharmaceutical companies, and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts," he had said.
 
 
 
Apart from the Big B, Priyanka Chopra, Sonu Sood, Akshay Kumar has also come forward to help the nation in the crisis. Recently, Anushka Sharma and her husband Virat Kohli have started a fundraiser to help several NGOs engaged in COVID 19 relief work.
